When Ani

You want adult vanilla with the sugar held down. The green opening (bergamot and pepper) and the cardamom keep it warm and spiced. A cold-weather daily, wearable in an office. On value, one of the better bottles in niche.

When Tobacco Vanille

You want vanilla and tobacco, openly sweet. Comfort, winter, evening. In heat it is unbearable. The premium per millilitre is large. The material still shows.

Price and risk in the CIS

Ani is €145 to €210. It ships officially into Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Fakes exist, in smaller numbers. Tobacco Vanille is €270 to €360, close to double. On value Ani wins by a wide margin at a similar volume and longevity.

Verdict

For most buyers Ani is the rational pick: cheaper, less syrupy, easier across a season. Tobacco Vanille is for people who want tobacco and vanilla specifically and will pay for the brand. Decant both. Sweetness on someone else’s skin is hard to predict.
